1. What is Starbucks Rewards Program? How to participate in it?

Starbucks has launched the Starbucks Card together with Starbucks Rewards program onto the market to thank the most loyal customers. Once the Card is purchased, register it on our website or through our mobile application to be rewarded with benefits and additional information about Starbucks. If you pay with the Starbucks Card or through our mobile application, you may enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on us every time you collect 100 Stars.


2. What are the benefits connected with Card registration?

You will be welcomed into the program with 50 bonus Stars. For each 100 Stars you have collected, you will get a Tall or Grande beverage on us. You will be one of the first to receive information about new products, discounts and special offers. If you have a Gold Status you will get a gift beverage or a cake for your birthday, additional coffee toppings and many more! Don’t forget to download Starbucks mobile application thanks to which you will be able to manage your Starbucks Card and pay with your phone.


3.Why is it necessary to register the Card if I want to join the program?

If you create an account in Starbucks Rewards program, it will allow us to contact you, provide you with a gift drink each time you collect 100 Stars, birthday reward*, as well as many other gifts, special offers and invitations. Additionally, the registered Card is safe in case it is lost or stolen.

4. What are the Stars? How to collect them?

Stars are the points in our loyalty program. Each time you pay for a bill with a registered Starbucks Card or with our mobile application Starbucks CEE you will get Stars. Amount of Stars that you receive is dependent on your bill value – for each spent 12 CZK you will get 1 Star. For every 100 Stars you will get an invitation for a Tall or Grande drink on us. If you collect 200 Stars in a year, you will get Gold Status and receive some exclusive benefits. You may always check your Stars balance on your account.


5. What is Green Status and Gold Status?

When you register in our program you will automatically receive Green Status with which you can benefit from special offers, promotions and discount for Starbucks Rewards members. You can also get a gift beverage for each 100 Stars you have collected. To get Gold Status collect 200 Stars in 12 months. With Gold Status you get all the benefits for Green Status plus you can add the additional topping or espresso shot for your drink, birthday reward, exclusive offers and many more!


6. How does the Star system work?

It is very easy! Just register your Card through the mobile Starbucks CEE application or on the website. For each payment with a Starbucks Card you will get the Stars. Amount of Stars you receive depends on your bill value. When you collect 100 Stars, you will get Tall or Grande drink on us.


7. Is it possible to give my Stars to a friend?

Unfortunately, Stars are linked with one account and cannot be transferred to another one.


8. How do I know that I have appropriate number of Stars to get a gift beverage?

Within 24 hours you will receive this information together with a voucher for a beverage. This email or the message on your mobile app will allow you to use your invitation in one of our stores. Present your voucher to partner at the register on your next visit to enjoy your favorite beverage on us.


9. How quickly can I get my voucher for a gift beverage from the program?

Maximum within 24 hours after the 100th Star have been collected.


10. Do the Stars have an expiration date?

Yes, it's 12 months since your last payment or re-loading your Starbucks Card.


11. What is the expiration date of my voucher?

Each coupon is valid only within its expiration date. The expiration date differs depending on the offer. Your voucher for collecting 100 Stars is always valid for 30 days.

1. What is the Starbucks Card?

Starbucks Card is a pre-paid, re-loadable card that might be used for payments for all assortment available at Starbucks stores in Czech Republic. Additionally, a Starbucks Card might be registered on the website or through a mobile Starbucks CEE application. Registration of the Card allows for participation in Starbucks Rewards loyalty program.


2. What is the Starbucks Digital Card?

Starbucks Digital Card is a form of a Starbucks Card which may be obtained through registering process without leaving your home.

Starbucks Digital Card is a card which can be generated via mobile application or website during the registration process. Thanks to the Digital Card you can quickly and easily join the program.


3. Can the Starbucks Card be re-loaded?

Of course! Starbucks Cards is a re-loadable card. Minimum amount of credit is 200 CZK, maximum up to 5000 CZK. You can reload Card through your Starbucks CEE Mobile Application, through our website: or in every Starbucks Store in Czech republic.


4. Is there a minimum amount that needs to be loaded on the Card during purchase?

Yes. The minimum amount that needs to be loaded on the Card during purchase is 200 CZK. The whole amount can be spent straight away at all Starbucks stores in Czech Republic.


5. How to re-load the Starbucks Card?

The Starbucks Card can be reloaded at any Starbucks store in Czech Republic. It is as easy as ordering a drink. It might be done at the cash register. Additionally, the Card might be re-loaded through the inpidual account on the website and via mobile application.


6. How to re-load a Starbucks Card online?

Starbucks Card can be reloaded on the website or via mobile app. You can reload a card:

a) via website

To re-load the Card online you need to log in to your account on the website. In the My card tab there is a RELOAD CARD button on the right. The Card may be re-loaded with a pre-defined credit or with any amount between 200 CZK and 5000 CZK. Choose the desired form of payment (Visa/Master Card or money transfer via PayU) and follow instructions on the screen.

b) via mobile application

To re-load Card via mobile application, register the Card in the app or request a Digital Card while signing up. Then sign in to your account, choose “PAY” tab, then tap “RELOAD”. Choose amount of your required reload and then follow instructions shown on the screen. Your money will be immediately added to your account.


7. How the Starbucks Card balance can be checked?

There are three possibilities to check the Card balance:

  • 1. Ask a partner at the register at any Starbucks store in Czech Republic.
  • 2. If the Card is registered, log on to your account through our website or the mobile application. Your balance will be displayed on the front page of website or in the “PAY” tab in the mobile app.
  • 3. Call Customer Service Center on +420 235 013 335 from Monday to Friday between 9.00 – 17.00.


8. Is it possible to set up the bill partially with the Starbucks Card and cash or credit card?

Of course. It is possible to pay for your purchase partially with the Starbucks Card and the remaining part might be settled with cash or credit card.


9. Does the Card have the expiration date?

Yes. The Card is valid for 12 months from the last transaction or re-loading. It means that every time you use the Card next to the purchase or re-load it, the expiration date is extended by 12 months, counted from the re-load or purchase date.


10. How to register the Starbucks Card?

Registration is easy and takes only couple of minutes. Go to the Starbucks Card tab on the website or download the mobile Starbucks application. Follow the instructions on the screen. When registration is completed, an e-mail with the activation link will be send to the e-mail address provided during registration. Click onto the link to complete the registration process.


11. What are the benefits of the Card registration? What operations might be done through the account?

Thanks to Starbucks Card registration you can:

  • Gather Stars and enjoy benefits of Starbucks Rewards program.
  • Check the Card balance.
  • Reload Card online via and Starbucks CEE Mobile App.
  • Check the transaction history, number of Stars and rewarded benefits.
  • Report the robbery or loss of the Starbucks Card.
  • Manage your personal data.


12. Are there any other card designs available?

Yes. The Starbucks Card is available in different designs. All of them are displayed on the cash register in each Starbucks store in Czech Republic.

Being a registered user you do also have the possibility to choose a design for your Mobile Application Card.


13. Is there any limit for the number of products that might be purchased with the Card?

No, there is no limit. You can pay for all products available in our stores with your Starbucks Card or through the mobile application. The only exception is the purchase of another Starbucks Card.


14. Is it possible to buy the Card in Czech Republic and use it abroad? Is it possible the other way round?

Unfortunately, it is not possible. The Starbucks Card purchased in Czech Republic is valid only in Czech Republic. It can be used in Czech stores only. There is also no possibility to use a Card purchased in another country in Czech Republic.

Starbucks Mobile App - FAQ


1. What do I get from using the Starbucks Mobile Application?

Thanks to using the Starbucks CEE application you can easily join our program by registering a Starbucks Card, and if you already have the Member’s Account, the application allows you to pay with your Starbucks Card through your phone, stay connected to your Starbucks Rewards account, including checking and redeeming your coupons and searching for nearby Starbucks stores. 2. What platforms does the application work on?

Application works on iOS system version above 8.0 and Android systems version above 4.1


3. Where can I get the app from?

You can download Application from App Store for iOS devices and from Google Play store for Android devices. Our application is called Starbucks CEE.


4. Do I need to pay for this application?

No, the application is free of charge.


5. How can I change application language?

The application is available in Czech and English language. You need to change your mobile device language and application will adjust to that language.


6. Do I need to purchase new Starbucks Card to use the app?

No, if you already have one and it’s registered, you just need to download app, select log in options and enter your e-mail address or login and password you use on the Starbucks Card online account. Your current Card is still valid and you can use both mobile app and plastic Card. If your Card hasn’t been registered before, you can register it via mobile app and join the Starbucks Rewards program. Through the mobile app you can also generate the Starbucks Digital Card.


7. What if I have multiple devices?

For those of you who have more than one device, lucky you! You can now be signed into your Starbucks account and use all of the application features on all your devices. Please remember that you can only be signed in on one device at a time.


8. What do I do with my plastic Starbucks Card after I register to the mobile application?

Keep it as a token and enjoy new payments through the Mobile Starbucks Application.


9. What do I need to do if I want to pay with my phone?

It is simple, if you are already registered, log in to the application, use your “PAY” screen, tap the Card’s image, Card will flip and you will see the QR Code. When asked by Barista scan your Card and that’s all!


10. Can I use my mobile app to redeem my gift drink or other rewards?

Definitely! Just tell the barista you’d like to redeem your reward. You can find your invitation with QR Code in the app in the “Rewards” section when tapping a coupon icon the code will be presented to you. Barista will scan the code directly from your phone.


11. What do I do if the scanner at store doesn’t scan my coupons?

First, make sure that the brightness setting in your device is at a high level. If the scanner still cannot read your barcode, simply read your coupon number to the Barista. Your coupon number can be found right below the barcode.


12. How can I reload my Card through the mobile app?

It is easy, select the “Reload” option on the PAY screen and use one of the following options: use your credit/debit Card or process money transfer via PayU. Follow the steps on the screen. Due to security reasons when finalizing the reload you are asked to provide the Starbucks Rewards Account password in order to confirm the operation. Use the same password you use to log into the Starbucks app.


13. What password confirmation do I need to use when finalizing Card reload in the app?

You need the password which you use to log into the Starbucks application.


14. What should I do if I reloaded my Card with the wrong amount and have accepted the transfer in PayU?

15. How do I add a Starbucks Card to Apple Wallet?

Adding your Starbucks Card to Wallet application for IOS systems is very easy. In the Starbucks application tap “Pay”, then “Manage” option and tap “Add to Apple Wallet”. That's all!


16. How do I remove a Starbucks Card from Apple Wallet?

Just launch your Wallet app and find the Card you want to remove, tap the “i” icon in the lower right of the screen to flip your pass for additional options. Removing the Card can be done from the back of the pass. Deleting a pass from Wallet can only be done through the Wallet. Removing the Starbucks Card from the Wallet application does not affect neither your cash nor Stars balance.


17. How often does my Starbucks Card balance refresh in my mobile application?

Your Starbucks Card balance updates automatically after every transaction. If you are using the Starbucks CEE Mobile Application to pay, your current balance will show on your phone's screen after the transaction. If you cannot see the change, please check your Internet connection and tap the “refresh” button.


18. How do I update my app?

If you have your apps set to auto-update, the update will be done for you by the first time you open your app after the new release launched. If not, you will receive an automatic notification from App Store or Google Play operator. You can also look for the application at the App Store / Google Play at any time and download the latest version.


19. What if I lose my phone? How do I protect my balance on the registered Starbucks Card?

Enter your Starbucks Card Account on or contact the Customer Service. Report lost or stolen Card, if your Starbucks Card was registered, the funds present on your account on that moment will be frozen.


20. What should I do if I see any suspicious activity on my Starbucks Card?

As soon as you notice any suspicious activity, please call our Customer Care team on

+420 235 013 335 and report the activity or the loss of your registered Starbucks Card. We'll freeze your remaining balance at the time you report your Card as lost or stolen, if needed we transfer it to a new Starbucks Card, and post you the replacement Card immediately – without additional charges.
